Big deal, we americans can cram twice as many people in the same size aircraft at one tenth the comfort.
+1 on the big deal. An aluminum body commercial jet? Google 787 Dreamliner, a 65% composite jet being made by a little US company called Boeing and then get back to me about this piece of shit. Superjet....Baaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh
The words "Sukhoi" and "Super" should never be used in the same sentence...
She's just showing off how short her legs are!
MAS SIMPLE IMPOSIBLE,, MAÑAN COMIENZO A FABRICAR EL MIO,,,
Looking good...any specs of the beast
And 90% of the discomfort comes from the guy next to you being obese:)
Still pretty cool. There are only about eight or nine nations in the world that can produce an indigenous commercial aircraft. If they were all painted the same none of you would know it was a Russian aircraft. Plus the girls are cute!
Well, they look pretty good, and I would trust them more than an Airbus anyday of the week. At least you don't ehar baout the tails coming off in NYC or doing splash downs in the middle of the Atlantic or flying into the trees at the Paris Air Show do you? As a pilot I can appreciate the work there and the good looking Russian Women. I wonder where the ones are that push the airplanes around!
Good show,thanks for the pictures!
hmmmm sukhoi and bombardier is building large comerciale aircraft. wounder what price they are aming at, and if they can threat boeing and airbus
This brings back fond memories. I did this for 30 years, first as a machinist, then as an engineer after I got my degree. Did work for everybody on literally every plane you ever heard the name of. Loved it!

14 months after the first delivery of this airplane in april 2011 Sukhoi only procuced 9 airplanes to his cutomers Aeroflot ans Armavia.
This is a very slow manufacturing process and i wonder how Sukhoi ans SCAC will be able to build the remaining airplanes. There are plans to do the painting elsewhere in order to free up space and personnel. Also, the bottleneck of this story is limited to the number of engines built by SNECMA as Sukhoi cannot build airplanes without the necessary number of engine.
If Sukhoi and SCAC entend to build 70 airplanes in 2012 as they planned to do they will have to speed up the construction process while maintening quality of work and performance if not they will loose face and deceive hard won clients too.
Only 2 airplanes were delivered fron january -june 2012 thus it is not likely that they will be able to start delivery for their Mexican client as well as 5 or 6 more deliveries to Aeroflot and the last one to Armavia before the end of this year.
In addition to these manufacturing problems Sukhoi engineers as well as SNECMA mus concentrate their attention on the 2 tons empty overweightof the aircraft as well as the increased in thrust performance to meet the published specification as per signed contract, 5 %, of the CFM46 engine.
Contract signing is one thing, constructing aircraft is another one.
So there is a lot of work to be done!
GOOD LUCK!
